(Reuters photo)YANGON - Japan's Ryobi Holdings Co has opened a warehouse in Myanmar's Thilawa special economic zone (SEZ) developed by a public-private joint venture between the two countries, joining a growing list of Japanese firms operating there. It has been developed by Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development Co, a joint venture formed by the governments and private consortiums of the two countries. The Zone A part of the Thilawa SEZ became operational in September 2015 and half of the 78 companies that invested there as of Jan 28 this year are from Japan. There are eight warehousing and logistics companies that have invested in the zone, including Ryobi.
